Sorry Spoon, but I am too dim to be able to work out how to do it from your answer above!Ī) I click on a file menu somewhere and look for an 'Edit ID Tags' option. Next, I want to be able to edit these tags - but can't see how to do this in dbpoweramp. Question 1: does anyone know which tags I have to fix to prevent this problem in playing from 'artist' selections? Poor old Zakk Wylde isn't ever going to get a play otherwise! So I need to edit the tags, once I find out what is missing from the few that misbehave in the way I have described. This is going to be a big problem if I have to scroll through 2000 CDs to find the album (which is very slow as the IOS app uses a 'lazy-load' system to wirelessly load a page at a time) I want to play. I can't play these CDs from my artist list!. The artist tag is recorded, but there are no tracks available for the CD under this - i.e. A small number of the CDs I have ripped so far are searchable by album title, but not by artist. However, I have some problems with metadata. I bought dbpoweramp as it was recommended by Cyrus, and it works pretty well with it. These are streamed to a Cyrus Xa streamer controlled by Cyrus' 'Cadence' IOS app from my IPAD.

I have bought dbpoweramp (along with PerfectTUNES), which I am using to rip my (2000-odd) CD collection to a QNAP TS-453 Pro NAS as lossless, uncompressed FLAC files. Please can you explain this? I can't see how to do it (stupid newbie here). You can right click on File(s) > Edit ID Tags They are not like a universal app like tunein etc so that you can find all kinds of stations with high quality to listen to. There are only a few specific apps for specific radio stations like Hi On Line radio, and Radio Paradise app, and both of those are streaming Flac quakity streams but thats about it and these are ONLY specific for those stations of course so for each station you must download their specific app. (Maybe an idea for developers to work on it? :) Still you have to search on internet for the url of the FLAC stream for that specific radio station and type in the address manualy for the first time but at leasst its just for once in the beginning and then you can use the favorites option later on.īasically i like listening to the radio and i have a few radio apps like Tunein but most of the time the sound quality is so bad that its not worth listening to any music on those, so i was looking for an alternative where you can search for high quality streams but so far there doesnt seem to be any app for this purpose.

The best option i could find so far on the app store is the Custom Radio Player where you still have to add the streams one by one by hand but you can store them as favorites/memory under a name you would give to the stataion so they are easily accesible. An app sepcifically built as a radio app, like Tunein radio or something where you can see the stream quality and search for high quality losseless streams etc.

VLC can play flac streams but i was more looking for a radio app for android specifically for high quality streams so i dont have to type in the url each time i want to listen to a radio. Post not showing up? Have a suggestion? Message the mods.
